A Dash of Burbs’ – Winter Sangria

When the season turns to winter and it starts to get darker; lighten the mood by breaking out some Winter Sangria.  Always sure to get the conversations flowing as well as impress friends with your Burb’s Mixology.

  1. 2 Granny Smith Apples Cubed
  2. 2 HoneyCrisp Apples Cubed
  3. 2 1/2 Cups Fresh cranberries
  4. 6 Sprigs Rosemary (More for serving)
  5. 2 Bottles Pinot Grigio
  6. 1 1/2 cups white grape juice
  7. 1/2 cup sugar
  8. 1 bottle of club soda (32 oz)
  1. Combine fruit, rosemary, white grape juice, white wine, and sugar in a large pitcher.
  2. Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves
  3. Refrigerate for 2-6 hours to let the flavors really shine
  4. Place 1 cup of sugar in a shallow dish - set aside
  5. Take remaining rosemary sprigs and break them in half
  6. Wet them down and shake off to remove excess water
  7. Roll Rosemary sprigs in sugar and place in freezer until ready to be served
  1. Scoop fruit from sangria into glass until it is about 1/4 full
  2. Take club soda and fill serving class half way
  3. Pour sangria into glass filling the other half
  4. Top with Rosemary that has been dusted
